Speakerbus is pleased to announce this latest major release of the iSeries portfolio of critical voice collaboration applications. We are committed to a development roadmap that delivers trader voice capabilities with reduced total cost of services, improved operational efficiency and adherence to compliance.
We've outlined key details about the release below.
iCS High Availability Mode
New high availability mode provides 2N resilience on bare metal and virtualization deployment*. The benefits of automatic switching to a backup server are minimal downtime in the unlikely event of application or hardware failure. The resilience against hardware failure now provides continuity of service to intercom, shared lines, virtual private wires and hoots delivered by iCS.
- Dual servers are configured as an active and standby pair with a common virtual IP address. The resilience is provided without endpoint adaptation or additional protocols. Server-side automation reduces the complexity and cost of deployment.
- During failover telephone calls are preserved. Users do not have to redial telephone calls if a failover occurs, even if they were in a barge conference. The maintenance of calls eliminates business impact and lost revenue due to downtime.
- Automatic provisioning is supported from the iManager Centralised Management System. Both servers are automatically updated whenever system parameters or new features are programmed. The automated management eliminates ongoing support costs and ensures the solution is always correctly configured, synchronised and ready to deploy, which reduces operational risk.
*Providing servers are deployed within the same Class C Subnet.
Global Muting
Support for global muting of iCS PSTN calls on speakers.
- Global muting on PSTN calls enabled via iManager Communications Server. Users can trade on dial-up circuits with the benefits previously restricted to dedicated private wires.
- Enables low-cost (or even free local calls) public switched telephone network calls to be used for broking on iTurret speakers.
- Enables SIP trunk circuits to be used for broking purposes, thus improving reliability and reducing the cost of virtual private wire connections.
