This month, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Jack Vinson, our new EMEA Operations Manager, at Speakerbus’ European Centre of Excellence in London.
In this brief but insightful interview, Jack shares his thoughts on joining the team and his vision for driving operational success across the region. Here’s what he had to say.
The Ops Manager is the glue that keeps our Trader Voice services running smoothly. I am responsible for planning and coordinating projects and supervising the EMEA team. I also develop engineering strategies, manage budgets, and execute projects successfully.
As a team, we work closely with our Americas and APAC teams and collaborate with other key personnel.
I've worked at Speakerbus for 17 years, and throughout my various roles, I have made strong connections with the Speakerbus' global teams and our clients, so getting up to speed has been largely painless.
My new team has been excellent and has welcomed me to the London office.
There's a lot to learn, but they've made the transition really smooth.
As a senior engineer and Technical Assistance Centre specialist, I bring experience in client-facing interactions and problem-solving. I have a mentality of resolving all issues to our client's satisfaction.
From rolling trade floors out in America to break-fix testing in Brazil, I've had first-hand experience of the job from the ground up.
Take some risks, but keep learning. It doesn't have to be formal or traditional learning, but reading, staying current, watching the trends and picking up new and valuable skills and competencies along the way is key.
I can give you two; I’ve walked Hadrian's Wall with a tent on my back and kayaked down the river Thames.
At Speakerbus, we understand financial markets and their distinctive needs, so by partnering with us for our exceptional cloud Trader Voice services, we emerge as a strategic choice, guaranteeing seamless cloud integration, expert navigation of trader voice complexities, and ongoing support.
