Speakerbus, a pioneer in collaborative voice management and mission critical unified communications, today announced new capabilities in an iSeries Speaker product software update.

iSeries Speakers are used to deliver high performance, mission critical voice services in specialist markets. Financial Services firms use the products to connect with clients and collaborate over open channels, while organisations requiring integrated command and control communications use the iSeries as an independent secure communications network.

Speakerbus launched the iSeries in 2004 and iSeries v3.2 introduces a raft of new functionality to our Speaker and Gateway solutions encompassing the iD114 and iD100 Speaker endpoints and iG214, iG114 and iG124 Media Gateways.

Release 3.2 is the eighth major release since the product was introduced and contains new capabilities that enhance productivity, resilience and benefit users.

Continuing to evolve the reach of iManager to support enterprise and service providers this update adds support for automatic connections to the centralised management system. Using a localised DHCP scope increases asset management by enabling automatic location of the device, automatic upgrade or downgrade and programming of features and functions via the iManager Portal.

Automated priority of speaker channels enables users to prioritise important circuits and keep news and critical sources turned up throughout the day.  Charles Miscampbell – VP Marketing said “We are pleased to introduce automatic level reduction on the Speakers as it’s like having an assistant keeping you posted on what’s important and a great user feature.” Speakerbus have also enhanced the four channel speaker unit with Push-to-Talk features that enable the user to rapidly respond while keeping direct line calls open.
