Speakerbus, a specialist provider of voice collaboration solutions for financial trading, today announces Jones Trading, one of the most preeminent securities firms in the U.S, as a new customer of its iSeries solution to deliver an enterprise-wide hoot ‘n’ holler service.
With a network of over 100 sales traders, and dealings with 1,000 institutions and hedge funds, Jones Trading is a worldwide leader in block trading in equities, capital markets and derivatives. The company has deployed over 230 iSeries speakers across 19 regions, each supporting up to 4 simultaneous hoot ‘n’ holler conference, private and direct line voice calls over IP. A centralized management portal provides the ability for the customer’s IT team to configure, deploy and manage all the voice trader assets including private lines, hoot circuits and gateways, and to administer controls for compliance, helping to keep support costs to a minimum.
Jack Garceau, CTO from Jones Trading said, “Our previous legacy analogue voice communications infrastructure was difficult and expensive to maintain. Ease of use, fast deployment and cost effectiveness were key factors in our decision to select Speakerbus’ product. We have been extremely impressed by the iManager portal and in particular it’s automated provisioning capability, which allowed our IT team to take complete control of the implementation, enabling us to be up and running with trader voice services in weeks."
Gregory Wasilewski, Managing Director from Speakerbus said, “We are delighted that Jones Trading has selected Speakerbus to deliver a hoot ‘n’ holler service on this scale. We recognise that customers face challenges when migrating to IP trader voice services from their legacy voice network infrastructures. We take a flexible approach to the implementation process. In projects of this kind, we work with the customer’s timetable, to facilitate rapid deployment with minimal disruption and cost.”
