Speakerbus, a provider of mission critical voice communications solutions to the Financial Services and Command & Control industries, today announced that its iTurret is compliant with key collaboration solutions from Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communication solutions.
The iTurret helps businesses collaborate with a full suite of Trader Voice Services (Telephony, Intercom, Hoot, Private Wires (ARD/MRD)). The solution is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with: Avaya Aura® SIP Enablement Services 5.2.1 and Avaya Aura® Session Manager 6.2.
“Our iTurret solution offers one of the tightest turret integrations in the market today, tapping into Avaya’s class-leading pedigree in multiple verticals,” said John Young, Managing Director, Speakerbus Technology. “Participating in the Avaya DevConnect Program continues to empower our customers, delivering key trader features and a cost effective IP trading solution.”
One of the companies benefiting from the interoperability of Speakerbus and Avaya solutions is Freight Investor Services, a leading broker of freight derivatives since 2002.
“Cost savings and high reliability were key business drivers for FIS,” said Dominic Banaszkiewicz, Technical Operations Director, Freight Investor Services. “After looking at various technologies in the market we chose the Speakerbus iTurret since it allowed us to extend our existing investments in Avaya Aura Communication Manager that serves several office locations. We were up and running in record time, and the Speakerbus iTurret is now one of our business critical systems.”
Speakerbus is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.
As a Technology Partner, Speakerbus is eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compatible. Doing so enables businesses to confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
“Innovative technology partners like Speakerbus are helping our customers make the most from their Avaya investment,” said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations, Avaya. “The Speakerbus iTurret helps bring company-wide, people-centric collaboration to niche markets.”
